Mobile phones are everywhere these days. It seems everyone’s got one – from grandmothers to small children. They have become indispensable tools in our everyday lives. Palm has unveiled its overhauled operating system alongside a touch-screen smartphone, in a bid to claw back share from competitors such as Apple. Good luck to Palm. Ian Clarke, solutions director for O2, sat down recently to give his take (and we agree with most of it) on the state of the mobile market going into 2009. In 2008, the iPhone created a huge wave in the market in terms of design, features, interface and overall customer experience. It helped stimulate the handset market by [...]

December 20, 2008 No comments yet

Samsung has claimed three of the top four prepay sellers in the run-up to Christmas in a bid to reinforce its position as the number one manufacturer in the UK by volume, and they’re succeeding admirably. It seems many in the UK favor a prepaid scheme for their cell phones. The three devices – the [...]

Avoiding Bankruptcy: The Best Decision

December 17, 2008 No comments yet

The credit crunch is hitting many people, hard. It has even caused many to consider bankruptcy as a way out. Much of this is applicable to the US, but it holds true in many other countries as well. Bankruptcy should be used as a last ditch effort, if creditors are hounding you and your income [...]

According to sources, the move could increase the price of mobile devices with either one, or both, features by as much as 25%, which [...]
